I am sorry to announce that due to staffing and schedule conflicts, this class we have to be canceled.
I will be compiling a list of e-mails for the people that have registered and replied to this sign-up thread and notifying them of the cancellation.
We will try to plug this club back into the schedule for the first available Saturday.
Again I am deeply sorry to announce this, we have only canceled three classes in our history, one due to an emergency, and the other due to the torrential rain storms last year.
We promise we will make this class happen in the future!

oh where to begin... ;)
first, i have a 240 (an s13) but she's bone stock. the SR20DET is in my 1993 infiniti g20. yup, 4-door fwd family sedan sleeper goodness. the G20 (nissan primera elsewhere in the world) comes stock with a 140hp naturally aspirated SR20DE. okay, big deal right? read on :)
now, the infamous SR20DET you're referring to is obviously a RWD motor since the 240 DET wouldn't work in a FF g20. there are several different itterations of the DET from the S13, S14, and S15 chassis, with either a redtop or blacktop (valve cover color) and some even had VVT.
however, the motor in my car is FWD...
outside the US (we always get shafted on the good cars) there was the Nissan Bluebird SSS, the Nissan Avenir, and the Nissan Pulsar GTi-R. All of these were AWD. All of these also came with an AWD version of the SR20DET. Luckily for me and others like me, the AWD version of the engine bolts right up to the FWD SR20 transmissions.
now, here's where it gets good... since the G20 comes stock with an SR20DE (as does the Nissan Sentra SE-R, 200SX, and NX2000) the FWD/AWD SR20DET *bolts on* to the factory motor mounts, and uses the stock wire harness. it's pretty much a direct plug-and-play swap.
pretty cool huh?
but oh no, it doesn't stop there! it gets better!
in Japan, there is a little SUV called the Nissan X-Trail. the GT version of this comes with the SR20VET. yup, VET. Nissan's own version of what can best be described as "vtec". Neo VVL. (Nissan Ecology Oriented Variable Valve Lift). the VET is VERY rare, and only makes about 280hp. however, in the P12 chassis nissan primera (not available in the US) as well as several other cars, there was the SR16VE and the SR20VE. turbo'ing these is pretty difficult, but progress is being made pretty quickly and it seems like a lot of people have had success with this motor lately. a good friend of mine has a 550whp G20 with a fully built SR20VET that revs to 11k all day. it's FUN :xyxthumbs
anyway, i'm sure you're sick of reading my novel. for specs on my engine build, check www.g20nyc.com/g20.html or feel free to email me at SR20DETg20girl@hotmail.com if you have any other nissan-engine related questions :D

Hi Shon,
Read up a few messages...
The class has been CANCELED
Sorry, we will reschedule as soon as we can.
It's overwhelming that people will keep on replying to this thread to sign-up for the class when in the thread itself it states the class is canceled. For this reason I will now close the thread.
