Wet Sanding - Does this sound right?

First off love the forum.... :bounce

I have a 97 jetta that has been painted after market. I have tried to detail it a couple of different ways but have never been happy with the out put... Most of this is due to the paint it self..... So I did the big leap.... And started to wet sand...First off I have done wet sanding before more than once :xyxthumbs. Now the paint is coming to life.... Now to the question...Detailing has come along way in last few years and I a little out of date on that...

So this what I'm doing... After the wet sanding I'm buffing with

#4 with a wool pad,
#2 with another wool pad.
#9 with a W7000
Scratch X with a 9000
Gold with a 9000


So how dose this sound?

That sounds really not the right way to go... :D

#4 and #2 with wool should pull the sanding marks out, when you run out of both of these you might want to try some M85 Diamond Cut compound for your cutter...

After removing your sanding marks try using our yellow polishing foam pad with the #9 instead of our cutting pad.

After this you should be fairly swirl-free, if you want to insure a swirl free finish and take your car's finish to a higher level then you'll want to re-polish each panel using a dual action polisher and a light cleaner/polish like the M80 Speed Glaze.

After this then go to wax.
