Exclusive to members of Meguiar's Online!

Feel like working on your car? Would you like some help from the trained staff here at Meguiar's plus access to our entire arsenal of tools and products?

Then sign-up here to bring your car down to Meguiar's and get some help and have some fun!

We'll open the garage doors starting at 5:00pm and keep them open until 9:00pm so you can have a chance to work on your car with an experienced Meguiar's employee on hand to answer questions, make recommendations and in some cases even help you out!

We'll have all our newest products on hand for you to test drive yourself as well as all of most popular products to help you get show car results on your car, truck or s.u.v.

We only have two bays to pull cars into so we are limited to how many people can sign-up and actually work on their cars depending on what tasks they want to accomplish.

So it's really a first come, first serve basis as far as pulling your car into the garage, but you also have to be member of our forum and sign-up on on the appropriate sign-up list.

Hi eccsnow,

Welcome to Meguiar's Online! :wavey

If you want to attend one of these Wednesday Nights - Open Garage events, you need to sign yourself up by looking for a sign-up thread and replying to it.

You actually posted your post in the right forum, just not in a sign-up thread. Click on the below link and look for a thread with a date for a class you want to attend then click on that thread and reply to it with something like,

"Add my name to the list!"

Great concept and great timing for me on the 29th.

As for car washes in LA. Any close ones near the corp. hq? I'll even drive it into the machine if I have to (rental).

I cruised past a coin-op about 3mi from Meg’s HQ last night, on Bristol at (well, under) the 55fwy. I think there’s at least one, maybe a couple more that are closer but I know the one on Bristol for sure.

At this point in time it's just about every Wednesday night unless noted on the Online Calender.

The Calender is not updated with all the upcoming Wednesday night classes due to time constraints... that is I don't have enough time... but I'll get to it.

They have a no car washing rule in my city too. I am expected to re-claim my own water if I wash my car. I ignore the rule all the time because it is a stupid rule. Laws are ment to prevent harm. If what I am doing does not harm or interfere with anyone elses rights, then I don't care if it is illegal.

First, I have washing down to a science that takes very little water overall. I use water to rinse, mix soap in bucket, then I scrbb a lot then I rinse. I don't just spray the car with 100 galons in an attempt to remove the grime. The water runs off to my plants and doesn't harm them, so technically I am re-claiming my water. That is what I tell this jerk police officer that gives me a bad time about washing my car.

I flat out told him it is unconstitutional to prevent someone from washing their car and that if he wants to write the $75 ticket, he can see me in court. I will go with the whole I reclaim my water for the plants story.

Mike,

When is the next Open Garage? What Wednesdays in June do you think you will be able to host an open garage?

Thanks,

I was under the impression that the water reclamation rules only applied to businesses, thats really dumb that someone tried to enforce that on you at home (i assume that's where you were)

I'd like to know about open garage this month as well! I'll be home the week of the 21st if you're thinking about that week ;)
I had such a good time last time I was in town I have to come back! haha

These classes are mostly people working on their car with directoin from a Meguiar's employee. They tend to make people want to attend a Saturday class but attending a Saturday class is the right direction to go, head knowledge first, then hands-on application.
