Squeaky wheel gets the grease...
In this forum, there are a lot of great candidates suggested for places to bring our detailing classes and we're ready to move on these suggestions, but what it's going to come down to is our ability to obtain a good location to hold a class.
What makes for a good location? (http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10563)
Our original goal when we started the Meguiar's RoadShow was to couple our RoadShow classes to a car show that Meguiar's was a sponsor of and then supply free tickets to the show to all of the class attendees. We did this at the Dallas Show and it was a big hit with everyone that attended.
Dallas, Texas - February 18th - Open Class (http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10503)

As I worked on the schedule, trying to match locations where forum members have requested classes to car shows we sponsor, sometimes it worked and often times it didn't. So I presented the idea of decoupling the RoadShow classes from sponsored events and the consensus was, that whenever possible, to coordinate a class with a show, but in the case of an area with high demand and a location can be found, then the green light has been given to take action and make things happen.
So as of right now, the squeaky wheel gets the grease, that is the squeaky wheel that can help to,
* Help to get 30 to 50 people to sign-up through our forum
* Help to obtain a good location (http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10563)
The first criteria, gather together 30 to 50 people on one day for a detailing class that usually runs for about 8 hours has never been a problem and we don't expect it to be for our RoadShow Classes, but we will still need help from our forum members to get the word out when a class is coming to your area.
One more thing about getting 30 -50 people together for these RoadShow Classes, we don't want to target car clubs specifically but instead a wide-spectrum of enthusiasts. We would rather have 30 people from 30 different car clubs than 50 people all from one club. The reason why is because if we can get a few people from a number of different clubs to come to one of our classes, then these people can take what they learned and share it with their club. There's no way we can hold a class for every club across the country, so it's better if we hold an Open Class and not target a Mustang Club, or a Toyota Prius Club.
We certainly want car club members to come to these classes, but we don't want someone thinking, or acting as though these RoadShow Classes are coming to Resume Speed Iowa for their car club, this wouldn't be the best use of our limited resources. And we hope and know that all of you reading this will understand.
The second criteria isn't as hard as some might think as Meguiar's has excellent relationships with PBE warehouses and PBE Jobbers via our Professional Field Reps.
An example of this is Rod Kraft one of our Field Reps on the East Coast and the support he receives from Mark Woloshin aka Wolmark[i] at Pal Automotive Specialties in Piscataway, New Jersey.

Another example or our relationships with the PBE industry is our recent Roadshow class with our Professional Field Rep David Smith aka [i]Smitty in Dallas, Texas with a lot of help from Tony and crew at Wash Solutions (http://www.wash-solutions.com/)

We have the contacts and my responsibility towards coordinating these RoadShow classes will be to obtain the location, if for some reason this doesn't happen then I'm going to ask for some help from our forum members and their contacts in the regions in which they live.
So the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Looking at the Online Calendar (http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/calendar.php?s=) and clicking over to the month of April, right now we're looking at one of these two dates for places to hold our next Meguiar's RoadShow Detailing Class.
April 22nd or April 29th
http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/calendar.php?s=&month=4&year=2006
I've seen a lot of chatter lately coming out of Florida as well as the Kansas City area... so these two states are definitely on the radar screen right now.
As we go into May, we're looking at one of these two dates,
May 6th, or May 13th
http://meguiarsonline.com/forums/calendar.php?s=&month=5&year=2006
Squeaky wheel gets the grease, and of course logistically speaking, what we can coordinate for location and people has a strong influence also. Warm weather would be nice too! ;)
