this red vw golf type 2 is a daily driver of one of my friends.
the extreme makeover took place about seven weeks ago.
altough he takes proper care of his car,age was showing(this car is 14 years old).so i invited him in for a good rub with the machine, and went the full 9 yards:
washing, claying, paint cleaning, polishing and waxed it with colr x and topped it with gold class wax.
all plastics showed like new after apliying trim detailer on them.
i advised him to get a bottle of gold clas wax and a bottle of gold class shampoo.he took my advise, and got them, and now 7 weeks later,he wondered if he took good care of his baby.....http://archive.meguiarsonline.com/gallery/data/500/892vw_before02-med.JPG

see for yourself......

as you can see,the car was in a good shape, but we decided to wash it properly, and see if we could make some more improvement......

seeing this as a result,we thought it was quite a good result,so we decided to clean up the interior, gave it a good vacuum and cleaned the windows in and out.
after that,i aplied one more layer of trim detailer on the outside plastics, and we called it a day....

Looks good to me Rick! :xyxthumbs

I'm sure your friend is thankful and know a lot more knowledgeable about the detailing process and a lot more appreciative of his car.

Let's hope he takes car of all your hard work now.
