No orange peel=better shine?

I just got a new car, a scion to be exact. It has some orange peel, but I dont know how to measure how thick the orange peel is. I have no idea how to wet sand, but I was wondering if orange peel is eliminated, then will my car shine better? I figured light shines better off a flat surface than a wavey surface.

Not so much shine, but a crisper reflection.

I am not sure, but I think orange peel can be in either the base coat, or clear coat? If it is in the base, then you arent getting to it anyway.

I also have a scion with orangepeel
just accept it all cars have it these days even Rods Krafts meguiars truck has it
If you try to wetsand you may have to repaint your car

I have a tC with some orange peel and it still looks good all shined up..

my xA does look really nice shined up, but i thought that a flatter surface would reflect light better. so i figured eliminating the orange peel would create that cleaner look to the car.

I wouldn't risk it on a new car
you only have .5 mils of clear you can safely remove for paint correction for the life of the car. You may remove that and still have orangepeel

A friend of mine just picked up a new Honda CRV on Monday of this week and I saw it last night for the first time....Orange Peel ??...more like grapefruit....I was surprised at the lack of clarity on a 4 day old car...now, I don't know how they prepped it for delivery but man, I wouldn't have been happy...orange peel is here to stay....make the best of it....

My Lightning has the Factory installed orange peel as well and I agree with the above. You can still make your vehicle look awesome with the right products.
