No Car Washing at Meguiar's

The city of Irvine, (your elected neighbors), will not allow you to wash your car at our offices, so please wash your car --> before <-- your bring your car to Meguiar's. Don't bring a dirt car to Meguiar's with the idea of working on it, it's not going to happen.

If you want to work on your car, then you have to wash it first, then bring it to Meguiar's. Thank you for understanding your government. :xyxthumbs

Hi Bob,

It will be very good to see you again. I'm pretty confident the car has a single stage finish, the pictures don't show the oxidation but in person it's easily seen and oxidized clear coats don't look like oxidized single stage paints, so I'm pretty confident it's a single stage finish. As such I may purchase some microfiber polishing cloths just for this car and let the owner have them when we're finished as they'll tend to turn red from the pigment transfer.

Hi Shawn,

I'm looking forward to meeting you, I notice you're very active on the Focus forums, bring you car down and let's Meguiarize it and perhaps we can arrange for your forum club to have a Saturday class here in the future.

Hi Mike,

I talked to you last week about my new rotary. I would definitely like to attend the Wednesday class.

I don't have any backing plates that would fit my new Hitachi rotary (I'm currently using a 6" one and that is probably too big for the Meg's pad's), would there be any Meg plates and pads?

I'm really looking forward to the class.

Would it be OK to bring a spare hood or fender to practice on, to test the rotaries powers and actually burn or damage paint, and learn what not to do?

Doug

I think we'll have a backing plate floating around that will fit your rotary buffer.

I'm really looking forward to the class.

Yes, we have a hood stand that you can use to hold a hood or a fender and practice on. It's an actual hood stand and not a fender stand so it works best for hoods but you could finagle a fender to lay on it.

Sure!

Not everyone is always able to actually pull their car into the garage, but we do what we can with what we have and do our best to insure everyone gets attention. :xyxthumbs
