2 problems,
1) headlamp on my Focus SVT has what looks like a clear patch (iregular shape) along the edge, I don't know if this is gen-x that got on when I last waxed - I tried plast-x but this didn't touch it
idea's?
2) instrument cluster - dealer scratch the cluster face - 2 marks (scratches) you can see then when the angle and sun is right - anyway of filling them and polishing them out - or am I SOL?
TIA

For the instrument panel, you can try ScratchX to try and remove it. But I'd wait for a more professional opinion from someone here.
The interior plastics on my camry scratch and swirl so easily. I cant believe that just my "soft" sunshade accidentally lightly rubbing against my radio face left an inch long scratch. To fix the scratches and swirls in the plastics, I put PlasticX on a meguiar's foam pad, spread it out on the area I was working, then worked it back and forth. What was left was straightline micromarring, but it still looked 10x better than before.

The tinted black plastic on my instrument panel was scratched and had a foggy look from where the people at the carwash place (a long long time ago when I let other people touch my truck) sprayed something directly on my instrument panel and wiped off with a crappy rag and I used Plast X, a foam applicator pad, a microfiber, and painter's tape to keep residue out of the cracks and it removed the foggy stuff and most of the scratches easily and left a like new polished look behind, I was amazed how easily it worked. But I have to admit it did attract dust but quik interior detailer solves that.
So working in Plast X should at least improve the look of the plastic on your instrument panel, maybe a few applications will solve your problem, just make sure you work in the diminishing abrasives to remove the scratches.
btw I kindof held the foam pad a little weird so I could apply in circles as well as straight lines on a small peice of plastic while exerting a little pressure. I took a regular foam pad, and grabbed it with my 5 fingers around the edge, and squeezed my fingers together, so the middle of the foam pad sticks out. If you don't know what I mean I'll take a pic, it's hard to explain.
