Do you use Instant Messaging? - Click your most used IM interface...
If we're missing a popular option, let us know and we'll add it.
Thanks!

Could this possibly have anything to do with the live help chat room there was a poll about a while ago??:scratchhead1

No, just want to see what everyone is using.
We added Yahoo IM and Skype to our forum account and this made us wonder what if anyone else was using.
There was a similar poll a year or so ago and we wanted to run a fresh poll.

I have an AIM account, but I haven't used it in months.
Emails or PMs are just fine. Phone calls are okay (as long as I'm not in class).

I think this is done with Java through IE or whatever web browsing program you have

I'm not an IM fan. I'm an IT Manager and I don't even use it at work.
I run my own mail server at home so I have a isolated IM client that only my wife & I use, but that is it.

Most of us cops are paranoid :D LOL.
I used to use MSN when I was online playing Delta Force 2 and chatted with my shoot em up buddies, then I grew up. LOL. I play BHD and get my rear kicked . Them old reflexes aren't as good as they once was.
I used to use ICQ but can't remember my number or password.
We would use Roger Wilco during game play to kick butt!
Haven't used it in a long time.

I use Yahoo IM, in my job it is just another point of contact. I run a technical hotline for our members ( I work for a auto trade association). It has been a great tool for us.

I use Pidgin.
It supports MSIM, AIM, YM, GTalk, ICQ and a lot of other protocols.
And it has a much smaller memory/resource footprint than YM.

xfire here! Its great, works while in a full screen app, such as a video game.
X+Scroll Lock and a box pops up in game to type to folks. Varying degrees of success... doesn't work smoothly with all games.

Is this a newcomer to the market?

Nope. Pidgin has been around for quite some time already.
Pidgin used to be called GAIM (for Linux). Around two years ago, they renamed it to Pidgin (Win and Linux).
