Posting Pics

Hey everybody, I need some help. I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to add pics to a post. I've tried following the steps the Mike has outlined, but my "new thread" page doesn't look anything like his example. Also when I try to follow any of the links to the steps (resizing, uploading, posting) I get a message to the affect that I don't have permission to do that. I've uploaded pics to my gallery.....now what?????

hey man! What's going on?

I'm not sure if this would make sense but I'll give it my best shot. Since you already uploaded your pics to your gallery, what you need to do is get the address of the pictures you want posted. What you do is right click on the image and select "copy image location." This will put the image's address onto your clipboard. Then on the thread you want to show the pictures, you put the and tags between the picture's address. So it should look like this:

picture link address

I did a new writeup for this forum's format. Basically all you need to do is click on the yellow picture square and paste that link there.

I think you're linking the web page that contains the picture. You must link the location of the actual picture and wrap it around the img commands.

Right click on the picture you want to show and choose "copy image location." Another way is to right click on the picture and choose "properties" and it should show you the web address or link of the actual picture. Then you can copy it and paste it on the thread with the img commands.

Bri, I did what you'd said to get the pic location, but it only put the link. Well, I guess I didn't do what you said as it didn't work! LOL

That's what is so great about this forum, everybody is willing to help. I hope I can return the favor someday.

OK guys, with your help I've finally figured it out. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!:xyxthumbs I really need to take better pics, but here is my first attempt at posting some detail work. I'm much better at just doing the work!
