When I try, I receive a message saying that a security token is missing.

What's going wrong?

Not sure but if you are posting now you should be fine. New accounts are placed in holding status until they are approved.

Actually, we now have spam software installed and it allows a person to "confirm themselves" versus someone with Admin access to do so.

Most people don't confirm themselves so they can't post.

Even wrote an article about it here...

Also, any new member that posts any kind of link or image has their posts placed in a Moderation Que until a live set of eyes can approve it to make sure it's not spam or something worse.
