For some reason I'm not getting e-mailers like I used to.

Has anyone else encountered this problem of late?

Same here....there have been numerous threads about it, but nothing seems to look out of place in the settings.

Ross our Webmaster has looked into this multiple times and run tests to multiple test e-mail accounts and verified our software is working properly.

For what it's worth, I get ALL my e-mail notifications from MOL and any other forum I belong to and participate on. :scratchhead1

The problem is between our server and your in-box and out of our control. If anyone has a problem getting their e-mails shoot me an e-mail and I'll look at your specific account setting to make sure you've selected to receive e-mail notifications.

Best we can do....

Is there any chance we can get less e-mails? Every thread I comment on sends me an e-mail....I could setup a filter, but I'd prefer to not get them all together. I looked in Options and couldn't find anything that would relate to stopping e-mails.

These are the available options you can select from when you join the forum and what you've selected.

Automatic Thread Subscription Mode

<INPUT id=rb_user[autosubscribe]-1_44 tabIndex=1 type=radio value=-1 name=user[autosubscribe]>Do not subscribe
<LABEL for=rb_user[autosubscribe]0_44><INPUT id=rb_user[autosubscribe]0_44 tabIndex=1 type=radio value=0 name=user[autosubscribe]>Subscribe with no notification</LABEL>
<LABEL for=rb_user[autosubscribe]1_44><INPUT id=rb_user[autosubscribe]1_44 tabIndex=1 type=radio CHECKED value=1 name=user[autosubscribe]>Instant email notification</LABEL>
<LABEL for=rb_user[autosubscribe]2_44><INPUT id=rb_user[autosubscribe]2_44 tabIndex=1 type=radio value=2 name=user[autosubscribe]>Daily email notification</LABEL>
<LABEL for=rb_user[autosubscribe]3_44><INPUT id=rb_user[autosubscribe]3_44 tabIndex=1 type=radio value=3 name=user[autosubscribe]>Weekly email notification</LABEL>

I can change your selection to "Do not subscribe" and I think you can subscribe only to specific threads by clicking on the Thread Tools Button and from the drop down list selecting "Subscribe to this thread"

That way, you only get e-mail notifications for specific threads.

Let's try the Do Not Subscribe for me. I know that it isn't my e-mail becuase I have tried 2 different local e-mails as well as a AOL and Yahoo account and nothing works. Also when you changed my user name it didn't do anything.

But what doesn't make sense is that I can get e-mails from several Meguiar's employees, including you Mike, which is the same e-mail account that sends the notifications, right?

Which narrows it down to something on the forum side, maybe not a setting you can even see.

With 4 different e-mails and the switch of user names, it can't be personal settings on my side. Then add the fact that I can get e-mails from the same account that sends the e-mails out, theres got to be something fishy in the forum settings.

Let's try the Do Not Subscribe for me.

I changed your settings, but just to note, anyone can change their own settings by clicking on User CP from the Gold Navigation bar that runs across the top of all pages.

Next click on "Edit Options" and locate the drop down list and select "Do Not Subscribe"

No e-mails instantly and no e-mails now.

I tried deleting every single "Subscribed Thread" and then just subscribing to a couple and allowing instant e-mail notification for those. I checked my e-mail settings and set up a allowance for your outgoing settings which is 67.192.231.82 (IP Address) and the host name which is LinuxWeb1.carcrazycentral.com.

So I really don't know where these e-mails are going if it doesn't work for 4 different e-mail addresses.

I used to get them no problem..can't remember when it starting not working.

I give up I guess!

I'll bring this up with our Webmaster...

:)

Ask him where the e-mails go out of from the Headquarters...heres why.

If its coming from the same IP Address and host name as Mike Pennington and Mike Stoops and the like, I get those e-mails no problem and instantly. So if it's leaving the same IP Address and host name as those e-mail addresses there is no other way they wouldn't get to me (and others) rather than a forum setting/issue.
