Bit of a problem

My niece wrote her name on my Mothers car with a rock, right above the headlight. I don't think it went through the paint, but it did scratch the clear coat. Is there anything I can use to make this thing a little less noticable. I am going to try scratch x, but I'm not holding my breath. Any help would be great.:db: I know there are not pics but I am at my mothers house and I don't have my camera with me.

Can you feel the scratches with your fingernail? Do you have a PC?

No you can't feel the scratches, but they are pretty deep. They have been there for a little while and they haven't faded at all so I know that it is just more than a scuff. I don't have a PC but I'm working on it. I do have an orbital though.

I would start out with the least abrasive first. I would go ahead and try the scratchx. You may have to try it several times to see if it improves the situation.
