In my opinion there is something wrong with that individual because the meguiars leather cleaner doesn't remotely have the same consistency as amoral. The only thing I can think is that he was using some sort of vinyl cleaner or protectant.

I have used Megs Leather Cleaner and Conditioner with great success on my leather seats, and I´m satisfied with the results. I don´t find it anything like Armour All!
