Hello, Im really glad to be apart of Meguiars Online. Im here to learn lots. I am an 18 year old and own a 2000 (Silver) Honda Civic. I am really into keeping my car clean. I know I feel a lot better when my car has just been cleaned up, and I am sure my car is too.

My paint is an OEM Honda Vogue Silver Mettalic. I really love the silver. I have done a few jobs for friends cleanign up there cars for $50 bucks here and there. I do not consider myself a detailer though. I know that comes with a lot of experience and it can be a carrier.

My main concerns when cleaning up may car is hurting something. I am paranoid to what products with stain your dash, or turn your tires brown and leave my carbon fiber hood streaky. I also need help in the engine detail. Any help would be great

Hi stylinhonda,

If you want to learn a whole lot of information really fast, then spend some time reading Meguiar's *NEW* FAQ (http://www.meguiars.com/faq/)

It addresses so many car detailing topics it will make your head spin! For example, your concern about product that might turn tires brown. Tires turn brown on their own, Meguiar's tire dressings help prevent tires from turning brown.

So click on the above link and read away!

Mike

I have a few questions right off. I have a 2000 honda civic, and what all should I cover when cleaning the motor? I know the CAI filter and prolly the battery, distributer cap......do i have to worry about the plug wires or anything else?

Also a big pet peve of mine is the darn hose nozzels. I have not found one that I like at all. What do you guys use. I really need something I can turn on and off without going back to the base of the hose. Also have the basic, different types of sprays I can use.

Hello from within Louisville! :) (I'm at work -- I live in La Grange).

I'm going to leave the engine compartment question for someone else but, on the hose nozzle...

THE ULTIMATE HOSE NOZZLE (http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/product_detail.cfm?sku=G-303)

http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguiars/images/product_g303.gif

This nozzle is modeled off of a fireman's hose nozzle and, as we know, they DEMAND a total control of water and spray patterns. I've had one of these for well over two or three years and it IS THE BEST NOZZLE ON THE MARKET.

Looks like a really good nozzle. How much can you get them for around here. Still 40 bucks? Thats kinda steep lol.

We have some really nice cars around here, a lot of people hear KY and think ah no good cars there.

No doubt. U of L football has a legit chance of making a 'big' bowl game but, they're going to have to continue to post BIG offensive numbers and less numbers for opponents. they've simply given up too many points over the past few games.
