Hi everyone.
I am trying to get rid of several dots of white overspray on the hood. My guess is probably it's bonded to the paint since I couldnt remove them off with detailing clay. Can I sand it off with unigrit? Please suggest.
THks..

Hey Tanat198, Welcome to Meguiar's Online! :welcome

Have you tried using a more aggressive clay like Meguiar's Detailing Clay C-2100 ? This clay is more aggressive than the regular clay. Being more aggressive, this clay could mar the finish. Many professionals use this clay, knowing that they will be buffing out the finish most likely with a rotary buffer anyway.

Do you have a rotary buffer?

Thks for such a quick reply..
I am living in Thailand now. They don't sell such aggressive clay to consumer. The overspray on my car is probably a few months old already. I play to buy a rotaray to use with #83 if I need to wetsand the area . Will it work?

Hey,

Wet sanding is not very easy. Moreover, a rotary buffer will be needed to remove the sanding marks. Both the wet sanding and using a rotary buffer takes a LOT of practice. A mistake could damage your paint quite severely. I would highly recommend taking it to a professional detailer to do the work. And even then, if I were you, I would ask to see pictures of the cars he has wet sanded in the past, just to be sure.
