Hi Ken,

Welcome to Meguiar's Online! :wavey

Meguiar's offers education, hands-on training, pizza and cold refreshments plus a really nice goodie bag at our Saturday Detailing Classes to insure everyone learns a lot and has fun too. All we ask is that anyone that wants to attend the class to register with our forum and reply to our sign-up thread.

Orders for goodie bags, pizza, coffee and donuts are all based on the sign-up list, so I'll add you to our standby list to give everyone on Bimmerforums a chance to reply to this thread and sign-up, but by Thursday morning, I'll be placing orders based on this list on this forum.

This clinics goodie bags by the way include a full bottle of NXT Speed Detailer and one of our new Supreme Shine Microfiber polishing cloths!

Those are MVP's from Lamppost Pizza in Irvine, they are the largest pizza's I've ever seen in the normal sense of a pizza business.

The table they're sitting on is two feet wide.

Nope I won't make this class.

Mike,

I had some pretty deep scratches in my pain that I filled in with touch up paint then sanded with 2000 grit paper, clear coated and then sanded again and have been polishing the surfacr scratches out that were made in the clear.

I wax and wax and wax and it gets better every time, but you can still see them.

Do you think y vehicle can be used as a demontration to show hot to remove the surface scratches? Or better yet I can bring the touch up pain and you can show us how to apply iy and then make it blend in with the rest of the paint.

Hi Chad,

The focus on these classes is more of the big picture, making the entire car look great, as such while we will be teaching you how to remove swirls and scratches, focusing on your isolated paint correction problem will have to be something you and I take a look at towards the end of the class.

For a demonstration vehicle, we usually look for a black car like the below Corvette that's filled with swirls and looks horrible

http://archive.meguiarsonline.com/gallery/data/500/2PlasticSwirlyZainoLookonBlack.jpg

Then we teach you how to make the entire car look like the drivers side of this side-by-side, before and after demonstration.

http://archive.meguiarsonline.com/gallery/data/500/2ZainoCorvette7RAW.jpg

Big picture thinking that helps everyone... Chances are good, after the classroom session, you'll get the answers for how to fix this problem.

Note

After the power point presentation portion of the class, we will pick one or two cars to use for teaching purposes. We will be looking for
* Dark or black car with visible swirls
* Preferably a car that is parked outside all or most of the time that needs to be clayed so we can teach how to properly clay
* A car that fits the above description and has been washed prior to the class on Saturday

If you think you have the car, then please make sure it's washed before Saturday.

Thanks!
