This isa 55 Ford ThunderBird. It has just under gone a two year complete restoration.

It was painted first then slowly rebuilt. It had plenty of cob web and buffer marks in the paint as well as scratches.

I am not certain what kind of paint was on it but I would guess synthetic enamel. It was kind of soft and gummy.

It did need its fair share of color sanding to remove the scratches and scuff mark she got while being put back together.

I started out with Diamond cut and a wool pad. I followed that with Diamond cut and the W7000 maroon pad. Then she got Dual action cleaner polish with a dual action polisher followed by #20.

She’s a beauty now. You can see the shade creeping up on the car. I wish I had a better direct sun shot.

tHANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENTS.

I get to detail for a very large 55-57 t-bird restoration shop.
The next one is a "peacock" (kind of aqua color) 57 on May 10.
