I'm using the Bosch GEX270AE which is a Random Orbit Sander. I know this is not really the correct section to post, but i think this is the most suitable.

I'm actually from Singapore. And here, we have our fair share of car crazy people! ;) Many of us are die hard fans of Meguiar's, including me.. hehe. Great job guys!

We do not have the Porter Cable brand here. For machine polishers, we use like Makita, Rupes, Bosch, Black&Decker n others. i'm using the Bosch one. I need help as in what kind of polishing/buffing pads can i get.

I can't order in any buffing/polishing pads as Meguiar's Estore only delivers to America. So i've to rely on what i can get in Singapore. This bosch machine actually comes with a normal white sponge pad, but i dunno whether it's paint safe even though it says this sponge is meant for car paint use. So i'm blur!

i've benefitted alot from reading MOL. Hope to contribute back when possible

Thanks guys!

I'm not sure what's available to you? Maybe someone else can help in this area?

You could always give this pad a try in a small area and see how it works?

What chemicals do you have available?

By the way, at this last Saturday's clinic we had a guest from Singapore, I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow.

i could give it a try. Just abit afraid to do anything rash. My car's color is solid black n any swirls or mistakes really show up. My car is only 1 month plus old n swirls marks have already appeared. What happened is that I believe when my car was at the customs, they use wax with fillers to fill up the swirl marks so can't see anything but after few weeks, the mistakes n swirl marks all suddenly become very apparent. Anyway, i'll try and see how.

I've the following chemicals which I plan to apply:
1) #83
2) #80
3) #21
4) Final Inspection for maintenance

i actually have some others like NXT tech wax, DC#1, DC#2. But I got those when i first started and realised it's not really helping much, so my fren recommended me to go professional route as the products are stronger n mroe effective. I also decided to start using machine because as much as i love my car, i'm simply too pooped to do all the above by hand. Takes too much energy n time! :)

Just a qn, does meguair's have any glass polish to keep water beading on the glass forever with regular application? I'm not refering to Glass cleaner. It's more of a polish like a sealent to apply on the glass. In Singapore, quite a no. of people use Autoglym's Glass Polish which is quite effective, considering that in singapore temperatures are hotter and more humid so most waxes/sealents have shorter life span!

Thanks anyway!

Hi finclk,

I believe the Bosch GEX270AE comes with a velcro backing plate.. which means the Meguiar's 8006 foam pad can be used:)

I'm from Malaysia and I will be getting the same machine soon :)
