There's a difference, but my experience is that it's not enough that I'd recommend going out and getting #7 if you already have DC2. DC2 is easier to work with and gets you close enough to the #7 look that almost no one could tell the difference.

Mike can tell you more, but my guess is that DC2 is thinner (making it more consumer level friendly), a newer formula, and is maximized for clearcoats.

As the light changed from red to green to yellow and back to red again, I sat there thinking about life. Was it nothing more than a bunch of honking and yelling? Sometimes it seemed that way.

Meguiar's #7 Show Car Glaze contains the highest amounts of TS Oils. It was created a long time go when SS paint was the norm. However, it works very well with BC/CC paints!

DC#2 contains less TS Oils, is a little easier to remove, and performs very similar to #7.

    Cheers!

Alright thanks. I noticed when I was applying DC#2, it was not as runny as the #7 was. And was a lot easier to remove. I had heck of a time removing the #7 when I used it.

Removing #7 is a bit more involved than the other polishes that Meguiars makes. Here's a great writeup by Mike P. that explains it in great detail....Just scroll down a bit to find it....

Re: SHow Car Glaze - Before or After Wax?

Sorry to ask, but isn't it something a bit extreme to use this above wax ?

Do you also apply an expensive ceramic coating before wax ?

    :-)
