  • Loud noise coming from my T-Birds 390! coming from the valve covers.

I was working on my car (1962 T-Bird) and cut out my old mufflers and put in my new Glass Packs. It sounds good but until I started to hear a noise coming definitely from the motor. It got louder and it sounds like tap, tap, tap constantly. I was thinking either a lifter or a valve spring or a loose rocker.

That sound is usually a lifter.
