  • The Most Extreme

    I hope I haven't overstated it.......you decide

The car is a BMW 325 Convertible, the light wasn't great so please excuse the pics although I think you'll get the idea

    The process was
After trying a few options finally cleaned the soft top with Soda Crystals x 2
    Rinsed
    Applied body solvent
    rinsed
    Applied snow foam x 2
    Washed 2 bucket method
    Rinsed
    Clayed
    Washed
    Rinsed
    Blow dried
    Full machine polish
    IPA wipe down
And finally 2 coats of wax 24hours apart
    The interior was also detailed

Why all of the above well the car has been sitting for nearly 4years in a driveway under trees, here is some befores: -

    And some afters: -

Sorry if there's too many pictures if so I'll delete some.

    Thanks
    Bryan

Amazing turnaround Bryan! I wouldn't have known where to even start.

I had to google what soda crystals where. Looks interesting. Do you use them much?

Don't worry, not too many pictures.

We should get you set up with an avatar. Just let me know what you want and I can set you up or feel free to do it yourself.

That car was FILTHY! And you made a diamond in the rough sparkle again. Was that your customer smiling in the reflection? Amazing work!

Thanks for the comments guys it's appreciated

With regard to the colour it is an original limited edition BMW colour and not a respray, Ben you say "or whatever you call that colour" well BMW call it BLUE

Scott about Soda Crystals, having tried APC, de-greaser etc with no success a friend suggested the Crystals and they worked great......by way of info I will be using these everytime I do a rag top in future mixing as follows: -

1 x small drinks cup full of crystals added to 600mls of water with 60mls of APC and spraying liberally, leave for 2 or 3 minutes then scrub with a stiff brush

And RacerX88 the girl in the reflection is not the customer but my daughter, the customer sold the car the day the detail was finished i.e. yesterday

I'll have to see what I can do about an avatar and thanks for the offer

                        That's amazing!

I didn't know there was a car under all that dirt, sap and bird droppings.

                        Very inspiring.
