Pictures from Thursday Night Open Garage - April 1st, 2010

The weather really cooperated and we had a beautiful night last night!!

Close inspection of the paint before doing any work on it.

    The M Coupe.

Putting the G110v2 and Ultimate Compound to use.

Vinny has years of experience running a high end detail shop in the Midwest, so he was a huge help last night with some rotary work to remove severe, etched in water spots on his buddy's M Coupe.

Working on a nasty scratch on the side of Bob's gorgeous 2010 Camaro.

Katie brought her dad's natural gas powered Honda Civic for a little evaluation and light clean up. She clayed it thoroughly before applying a quick coat of Ultimate Quik Wax.

While Katie handled the claying, we attacked the hazy, yellowed headlights.

This is after hand sanding with a 1000 grit finishing disc on our new 3" hand pad.

We then moved to a 3000 grit finishing disc.....

.... and finished by rotary buffing with M105 on a W4003 3" "Easy Buff" Knitted Wool Cutting Pad and then M205 on a W8204 4" Soft Buff™ Foam Polishing Pad. Think dad will be happy with the outcome?!?!?

        Mike's sidekick:

I finished the M coupe's hood and other panels at home with the 105, 205, random orbital , and plenty of elbow grease combo. No more water spots! Now it's time to seal the paint
