Hi. Will the Meguiar's 3" backing plate Part#: MEG-S3BP fit a Griot's 6" Random Orbital? I ask because I was going to get the MEG-S3BP backing plate and use it with the Meguiar's DMC3 - 3" DA Microfiber Cutting Disc on the 6" Griots IF that's possible. Thank you!

Yes, it will fit all popular electric DA buffers, plus many other tools with the various fittings that come with the backing plate. Do yourself a favor though and follow these steps for installation:
- Select the appropriate adapter - it should be the one with the same size threaded stud on both ends.
- Place the provided washer on the backing plate and screw the adapter into the plate, locking the washer in place.
- If you have some Locktite you might want to place a drop on the end of the adapter that threads into the backing plate, but you don't absolutely have to.
- Secure the adapter snugly into the backing plate with the appropriately sized wrench. Don't be the 800 gorilla while tightening it down - the backing plate threads are aluminum. You want it nice and snug before mounting the plate to the buffer.
