  • 13 Durango Black Top Fully Coated

Decided to coat my 13 Durango RT Black Top with Detailers Pro paint, glass and wheel coatings

    Process:

Wheels and tires - Megs non-acid wheel and tire
    DP paint prep polish
2 coats of DP wheel coating
Tires are dressed with Ultima tire and trim guard

    Paint:

    Wash with CG CWG
    Nanoskin with CG CWG
    Half a bottle of IronX
    Half a can of Tarminator
DP Paint Coating on paint and all plastic trim

    Glass:

    Wash with CG CWG
    Nanoskin with CG CWG
    Wipe down with sprayway
DP Glass Coating on mirrors, glass and sunroof

The DP coatings were very easy to use, they flash fast and you have to buff off quickly. I used tuff shine orange applicator sponges and ultra plush MF towels to buff off. It took me 14 hours in total.

Looks great - very nice work!

    No paint correction?

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Forgot to add DP paint prep polish to the paint process. It didn't really need it. Since the first day it has been well maintained, never taken to car wash and always protected. I could have polished it for some added gloss, but
14 hrs was long enough lol
