Is new W64 backing plate much better?

Is the new W64 rotary backing plate that much better than the old W64 backing plate?

The reason I ask is I can get the old W64 locally for a reasonable price, but if I want the new W64 I would have to order it online, pay shipping and wait for it to come in.

Is the new W64 that much better? If so can you explain what is better.

Has anyone even used the new W64 backing plate yet to know what the differences between the two may be and what benefits there may be over the old one?

My W64 has held up against my own vehicles and about 4 paying jobs in the last couple of years or so.....

The new W64 is a one piece set up and makes it more durable.

If your just doing your stuff, I'm sure it would be fine as it has been for years I'm sure.

When/if mine breaks, I will more than likely buy the new W64. The only backing plate I found in my local PBE's is the older W64DA.....Meguiar's needs to go and teach the distributors how to......distribute.
