Talking Two Trick Ponies

What's better than a One-Trick-Pony?

How about two tricked Ponies' !!!

Well when one of my bosses said "Hey can you work on my cars Saturday......oh yea.. they're custom Mustangs" I was a bit worried. He is nearly as anal and compulsive as me. But when I showed up and saw what was in store, I broke into a cold sweat! Being as this was only my 4th paid job and, the fact I had never worked with black before, I started to worry.

But then I remembered all the advise from guys like Mike Phillips and I took my time, used the least aggressive gear to get the job done and treated it like it was my own.

Well....Voila'!!!

Tools of the day included:
1) NXT Wash
2) Clay
3) #9
4) #83 (Followed with #81 on the hood of the yellow Pony)
5) NXT Tech Wax (Liquid)
6) #21
7) PC with Meg pads
8) 4 extra strength Tylenol and 3 Ibuprofen!

Well done Five 0,

How did you like working on the black pony?

Thanks for the compliment Ben.

I actually really enjoyed working on it more than I did the yellow. While yellow is a warm friendly color, you could see the results of your hard work much easier on the black paint.

Awesome work Steve!

Fun cars to work on too... Now work towards getting your prices up to the $300.00+ plus range like Richard is doing here and you can have fun and make a little money

Nice work! Pics are a bit blurry and don't do your work justice. Questions though:

Did you really need #9 or you just used it as a test polish and eventually decided with the #83?

What speeds did you use the PC with? And with which pads?

Keep up the good work!

This is simply awesome, and I'm not saying it because I'm biased toward yellow
