  • NSX Detail Quest

    OK,

So some of these pix have been posted and some not. I'm taking it very careful considering the exotic nature of the NSX. Anyway, a lot of research has been done prior to starting this project.

    *Interior/wheels have been done.

    pictures in order:

    1- After wash with zymol

    2-Detail prep work

    3-After Meg's claybar

    4-After Meg's claybar (2)

5-After Menzerna intensive polish, (upper panel polish, lower panel clayed)

    6-After Meg's SW #9

    7-After Meg's SW #9 (2)

Next step is Meg's glaze #7 and either Meg's NXT or #27 wax followed by trim detail and tires then glass. I took a week to detail the inside including seats removal leather detail. I hope this project will be worth it because it's sure a lot of research and work. More pix to come.

I like the attention to detail in the way you have carefully taped off the car much like a painter would to expose only the painted panesl.

Keep us posted on your success.

Nice work. What did you protect all hard work with? Did you use a PC or Rotary? How long did it take to tape and mask?

            NSX finally done!

            *Pix taken high res.

*Note: NSX paint has colors in the clearcoat. The red paint is actually red/orange & purple. This special paint is factory paint and as you can see it is different hues at different angles and lighting conditions. Not noticable at first.

Would ya believe this car is an original 1991?

The sun finally came out and here are a few pix of "Project NSX."
