  • Detailed the Truck today!

    Happy Superbowl Weekend all,

This is the brothers F-150 (soon to be mine) XLT SuperCrew. It sits outside 24/7 due to other cars being in the garage, so it gets abused.

Paint Condition: lots of swirls and isolated scratches
Obejective: get most of the swirls gone and get it cleaned up for spring and summer and then do a full blown detail in the summer when its mine.

    Process:
    Wash w/Gold Class
    Clay w/Smooth Surface
    1 Pass M80 w/PC on 5 and 8006 Pad
1 Pass NXT Tech Wax w/PC on 3 and 9006 Pad
    1 Pass M21 w/PC on 3 and 9006 Pad

    Tires wear endurance
Rims/Chrome polished with NXT All Metal
Trim, Wheel Wells and Running Board dressed w/Hyper Dressing 4:1

    Thinks thats it...

Not to many befores, but here they are

    And then the afters
This is the same spot as the first picture, picture was taken in the same place and light...

Still some swirls but a major improvement (Full-On Sun Shot), don't mind the finger prints, didn't realize that until I uploaded the pictures lol

    Pretty nice rims huh?

Thanks for looking and please comment

        much better, looks good!

Is that Endurance High Gloss? Have you had a change to try Hot Shine Tire Gel? If you like Endurance you will like the new hot shine in the squeeze bottle. I just had a chance to use it I am waiting to see how it holds up compared to Endurance.

          Thanks for the comments...

It the Endurance in the black bottle, its not the high gloss. I haven't tried the Hot Shine Tire Gel yet, I dont really like the wheels super shiny, 1 coat of endurance is great!

Nice job! It's a huge improvement! My dad has a 2000 F-250 XLT Longbed, 7.3L turbodiesal. It's huge! It's the same color, too. I'm hoping to get around to it one of these days. It looked like it cleaned up nicely with one pass of 80. I'm glad to see that. Good job once again!

Very nice! You had better luck today with your white ford than I did.

Very nice. You did a real great job on getting rid of the swirls. Just one pass of the 80 huh. I was told that Fords paint was hard, geuss I was given bad info. Well keep up the good work.

Yeah, I was suprised too, I think with one more pass of 80 or if I started with 83 and then went to 80, it would be completly swirl free... Thanks for the comments and good luck with you fathers truck!!

I was told the same thing, but I guess not, Im not a good judge of paint being hard or soft but it must be soft..
