Here's some pics of my engine detailing on my own 99 Pontaic Grand Am. First time I've done a engine detailing and to be honest I never knew it could be so easy. The car is 8 years old and I doubt the engine has ever been cleaned before, so there was a pretty decent amount stuff it. My process was pretty simple too.
Sprayed on APC+ (4:1)
Sprayed off with regular hose and water
Sprayed on Super Degreaser (7:1)
Sprayed off with regular hose and water
Blew out the engine with my shop vac to get rid of excess water
Let dry all the way
Went over the painted surfaces with M66
Sprayed the engine compartment down with Hyper Dressing (4:1)
I was really impressed with the process and how simple it was, it took me about an hour total, and the results were great.
Here are the before and after pics.
