Gang,
I've read and participated in possibly plastic bottles and the chemcial makeup of the bottles possibly turning product in the M80 series watery.....
Tonight I left an FYI for Meguiar's to check out the possibility of the plastic bottles being the culprit.
This is what I wrote:
If you select the search button and enter "Watery" you can find a few threads about the product going watery.
This thread talks about the LDPE (or something like that) bottles which is the culprit:
"M82 Seems Watery"
I know that this is not a huge problem and less for detailers that goes through this stuff quickly unlike myself or others that are detailing own cars or detail part time.
Just FYI.....

I have a concern on a MOL write up indicating that when product is stored in the M9912 or other type of bottle that products will turn watery or make the product separate. I recently had a gallon size of M80 replaced as it turned watery. When done with a detail I would return the unused portion back into the gallon size. After reading the story of plastic bottles possibly turning product watery, I suspect that is what happened to my product. I have since not returned the unused portion of M80 to the gallon size. Today I noticed the M80 I have in the M9912 bottle is watery and the product remaining in the M8032 and M8001 bottles are doing fine and appear to be thick as it was when I received it. Neither products are exposed to the elements and are stored in our house in a room attached to our laundry room and where all of my products are stored.
I just wanted to let you know I see similar stories on the M80 series (mostly M80/M82) turning watery when stored in a plastic bottle. Why it doesn't do it on the factory bottles? No idea, would be cool if the bottles could be made the same as the tan bottles. I only have about 6oz's of product that turned watery.
Just FYI to check out the possibility of the plastic bottles turning product watery (with chemicals in the bottles I assume??).
Thanks
