Super Degreaser as a tire cleaner

Here's some before and afters where I had to use Super Degreaser at 4:1 to get this tire dressing off. I tried full-strength Simple Green, APC+ 10:1 and 4:1, Dawn, and a mixture of all three to no avail. The Super Degreaser also cleaned out the brush that I was using as well that got all gunked up while trying to scrub the tire with all of the other products. The dressing that was on these tires was Black Magic Platinum Tire Gel.

I also used some on the wheel to try and get whatever it is on there off. It did take some off as you can see (it lightened the stain), though I never tried more than that one application.

Before (even after scrubbing and scrubbing with all of the above)

After (Super Degreaser 4:1)

Thanks Tyler for that.

Good show

Yes. I decided to re-write it real quick as Super Degreaser has come up quite often as of late.

Thanks!

I do love my E1 A2Z Wheel/Tire Cleaner (now called All Wheel and Tire; I just stick with the older abbreviated name), don't get me wrong. I too want to eliminate all of my little bottles everywhere. I believe this is a very good subsitute in regards to strength and cleaning ability without that "burnt buttered popcorn chemical" smell of the E1.

It does stink.

I used to use that Costco Degreser on my tires years ago and it does goof up painted wheels, so be careful with painted wheels. Spritz with water, spray, agitate, rinse. Don't spray and forget about it.

Good to know though, thanks again, I have SD and wanted to try it.

Re: Super Degreaser as a tire cleaner

If you have used the trigger version of E1 A2Z, you know exactly what smell I am talking about. The foaming aerosol doesn't seem to have that smell.
