Clay Bars???

Hello everyone,

I have 2 questions;

1- is it possible to use the consumer line clay bar with Ultimate Detailer instead of the Quik Detailer that came with the box? Would it give a better result?

2- Is it possible to get additional clay bars without getting the whole kit?



Btw, I live in Canada... we're more limited in resources...

1. No, the Ultimate Detailer is not meant for claying.

2. Yes, for 2009, they started selling a clay bar replacement pack. Not sure if it is available in your area or not yet?

You can also use Last Touch diluted 1:1 with water for an effective claying lubricant. At $18 a gallon, it makes for a more affordable lube than a $10 pump-bottle of UQD.

I clayed my old Civic last week using TurtleWax Ice Spray Detailer. Worked very well and finally provided me with a use for those TWI Xmas promo gift packs!
