Anyone use Google Chrome

I just downloaded Google Chrome and I have noticed here on MOL The White bar up above, the one that Says Car Care Forums: Meguiar's Online > Off Topic >The Break Room and then has your info stuff on the right isn't under the Introducing Meguiar's NEW 2010 ... but is rather to the right of it.

Do any of you other guys have this or know how to fix it. I like chrome so far because it is so fast, but this is just kinda bugging me!

Mine is the same way you describe. I think it's normal.

Re: Anyone use Google Chrome

The issue you describe is due to the way certain browsers render the web page. It's caused by the image placement of the "Introducing Meguiar's NEW 2010 Products" and it's associated link. That will go away in due course, but for now, in some browsers, it displays a bit off.

Google Chrome does seem to be very quick, but in using it at home I've noticed it doesn't want to handle streaming media (YouTube, etc) quite as smoothly as other browsers. Not much in the way of plugins for yet either. Still, it's my primary browser at home.

Re: Anyone use Google Chrome

I think I've noticed this at work as well.

The browser application itself runs fast and opens up quickly, but after several tests with Firefox and Google Chrome at work and at home, Firefox loads pages quicker than Google Chrome does.

Although Firefox initially takes a few seconds to open up.

Looks the same for me under Chrome. Love Chrome... so much better then IE. Only problem with Chrome is it's inability to save personal date for filling out web forms (such as CC info).

Re: Anyone use Google Chrome

Yeah, every browser is coded differently, to load differently. If you go to MOL on Safari,IE, FF it will be different. On my FF it shows the 2010 Link on the top left, below the MOL logo.

I strongly Recommend the latest version of FireFox. It is by far the best.

It loads pages very quickly, and it has limitless Add-Ons. It also is the most secure.

FF also hides all of the annoying advertisements on the borders of pages.

Add Ons I love:

FlagFox
AdBlock Plus
Better Privacy
DownThemAll
Download Helper

There are also custom themes for FireFox.

You should probably be happy about that. Someone hacks your system, those same CC #'s are stored in a file and it can be found rather easily. Just sayin'.

I use Chrome on my NetBook and really like the performance of it. Works great.

It's encrypted... it's not like it's a ASCII file. So a person would need to get past my router firewall and then break the encryption on that file. If the person can do that.... have at it.

Much, much easier to simply write down my credit card number from the card itself. Trust me.... credit cards are 100% unsecured as they are.

After trying several different browsers I like Firefox the best. I use it at home and on the netbook.
