    Dear All

I thank God for His mercies, otherwose i may have lost my limb

last sat was crazy sat where we did a detailling workshop in the morning till 3 pm

& had another call from a friend who just got his E 90 & wanted me to detail interior..esp leather

I ask Seech to tag along & we started from 5 till late 10 pm

half way thru compounding....i was getting tired & in a split second...some how i was caught off guard...the foam pad & spindle caught my left sleeves & rolling up my sleeves & it was lock ...Thank God it is only speed one & i tried to pull it off & away

but vanity failed......and somehow there was adivine intervention

    3 day later pics

pls be careful & i loearn one valuble hard lesson

there is always a limit to everything

    if u r too tired...called it off & have a break

no body would blame u being slow

I owe my grateful thanks to seech for completing the car & got him worried
    Better be safet than sorry
it only takes a little patience and plenty of PASSION!!

That is unbelievable! Glad to see you weren't hurt more KC. Thanks for giving us an example besides burning off paint as to why you should always pay attention while using a rotary!

I once put swirls in my paint just to see what it looked like.

    I don't always detail cars, but when I do, I prefer Meguiar's.
    Remove swirls my friends.

Wow, its simply amazing what the human body can endure. I'm glad u weren't more seriously injured and wish u a speedy recovery. This is a great reminder to the rest of us that even the most experienced can be caught off guard, and though we see this hobby as a lot of fun, these are dangerous power tools, and need to be treated with respect.

        Hey KC,

Glad to see you are OK!! Yikes!

One time, I was polishing some aluminum and had the rotary spinning at 2200-2300 RPM when the wool pad caught the cord and then snapped it around my thumb pinning it to the rotary! Man! Did that ever hurt!! I ended up with a badly sprained thumb but was extremely lucky as it would have easily broken it or worse had my thumb been a little lower on the polisher!

Take care, and have a speedy recovery!
