  • 2003 BMW 325i

Recently completed a complete interior detail on this 325i.

The outside has dents and bad scratches as well as bad water spots on every single panel.

The outside was just washed/sealed as he only really cared about the inside.

    It has 106k miles.

The engine was one of the worst I have ever done so I lightly rinsed it with water then soaked it with FS Purple Power.

I closed the hood, blasted the entire vehicle with water and proceeded to foam it with 5oz of Super Soap & 5oz of Shampoo Plus.

Wheels, tires, & wells were degreased with Super Degreaser & Wheel Brightener then were foamed, agitated, then finally rinsed.

I scrubbed the engine compartment with a soapy water solution and a sponge along with various brushes.

While the car was wet I sprayed the entire body down with ONR clay lube ratio & clayed with Detailing Clay (Mild), then rinsed with water and followed up with Water Magnets to dry.

The following morning I finished the engine bay.

    I dressed everything with Hyper-Dressing at 2:1.
The underhood pad was conditioned with Hot Shine Tire Foam.
Painted shuts were wiped with ONR.

Started on the interior by pulling the mats & removing all items. Carpet was in fair shape but all hard surfaces & leather was soiled.

I dry brushed & vacummed the mats.

They were then lightly scrubbed with 3D Carpet shampoo & a brush.

Finally there were shop vac'd, lightly rinsed with water, followed by cotton towel drying.

This same process was used on the interior carpet as well.

Every interior surface was scrubbed clean with a small leather brush & All Purpose Cleaner followed by a wet terry cloth wipedown.

The leather was dressed with Gold Class Leather Cleaner & Conditioner. Vinyl was dressed with Natural Shine Vinyl & Rubber Protectant followed by a damp cloth wipedown to reduce sheen.

Wood & clear plastic recieved an application of Quik Interior Detailer. All crevice were brushed out & the jambs were wiped down with ONR.

Tarminator & a plastic card was used to remove this paint transefer.
#105 - Ultra Cut Compound by hand removed the induced marring.

The exterior was in terrible shape as stated before.

I had 90 minutes until the owner needed the car back.

In that time I was able to compound the hood & trunk with a mix of #105 - Ultra Cut Compound & Ultimate Compound using my PCXP & several primed W8207 pads. The paint was extremely hard and I made a mild improvement. I only was able to spend 30 minutes or so doing this as well.

All tar on undersided painted panels was cleaned off with Tarminator that was applied the night before.

    Waxed/sealed the paint with #66 - Quick Detailer (Cleaner/Wax).
Dress tires/wells with All Season Dressing.
Glass was cleaned inside & out with Glass Cleaner Concentrate 10:1

    Heres the hood after wash/clay.

    Mild improvement:

    A few afters.

      Excellent work.
Nick- I had the exact same car, which my friend now owns. Did you notice any of the leather dye coming off the seats and onto a towel when you cleaned them? I had this happen to me when using APC 10:1 on the rear seats, so I just cleaned them with a warm damp cloth from then on.

Great job Nick! I couldn't have done all of that in 90 minutes.

Would have been nice if he wanted the whole deal done to the car. Car would have come out gleeming!

                CHz06,

the drivers side seat was failing on the top part near the headrest.

Not sure if I pulled dye onto my towels but If I had to guess I would say yes.

                Shawn,

Thank you but trying to work out every defect on that vehicle would have been a nightmare as the paint was hard and the client is older and will most likely still use the trunk as a table as it had the worst marring I had ever seen on a car.

The trunk is still scratched up but the paint is at least more black than it is grey now. Water spots are mostly gone to and a lot of oxidation was removed off the roof.

I think he is getting rid of it anyway and just wanted it "clean" and free of dirt.

Thanks to the rest of you all as well.

Great job Nick. Looks like PP did a great job on the engine, does it work a little better than megs apc or SD on a very dirty engine, Tire Foam or the engine pad, I'll have to try that, looks great.

I guess I did miss something. My comment was I thought you did a nice job as you do in all your posts I have read. I saw the 90 minutes and thought that was all the time you had so I included the "for the time you had". Comments weren't meant in a bad way, just to lazy to type "supercalifrajulisticexpeeealidocous".
