Hi,
A few days ago, my sister washed her car. It was a futile attempt with her washing her car.
Things I noticed:
1. She used a lot of water and I mean a lot. IT appears she attempted to pressure wash her car with a garden hose on jet stream.
What a wate of time and effort.
2. She opened a gallon of my soap and used about 16 oz of it in a 1 galon wash container. I am asuming that is enough to make 16 buckets. I usually use 1 oz per 1 galon and use about 4 buckets per car changing it 3 more times as I wash a car.
3. She used my wash mitt and put it on the ground. She told me it is the greatest wash mitt she has ever used. I gave it to her as a gift becuase it is now full of dirt.
4. When she was done, there was bird droppings and bug spots on top and on the hood. The lower pannels next to the tires had tar and were still dirty.
5. She wanted to wax and use my quik wax. I figured why not. Later she comes in complaining that it is streaking. I explained that it doesn't streak if you apply it to a clean car and wipe it off compltely. I have used it dozens of times without problem. She asked how to remove the streaks and I pointed to just wiping them off with the 100% terry towel. When I demonstrated, I was discusted when the white towel became miscollored from the dirt still on teh car.
6. She wanted to clean the tires, so I said use the Hot Rims All Wheel. She did and said the product didn't work. It old her you have to scrub a little bit. I also said she should have done this before washing/drying the car. She cleaned all wheels and they turned out terrible. I actually had to tell her to rinse the wheels! Then I cleaned her driver side front wheel with the wheel cleaner and demonstrated it works easily. With her 4 month old car, her wheels looked extremely bad, but cleaned extremely easily. it took less than 2 minutes to clean her wheel! She now has one clean wheel and 4 dirty ones.
I was kind of disgusted with the job she did.
