  • Which method ? Recommendations?

I know that when claying a car, you can use a MF towel to quickly wipe off any clay residue. I also read from Mike Phillips to not let the residue or anything dry, wipe it away. Just wondering, what would be better? Wiping away with a MF towel during the claying process? Or just a complete new carwash afterwards to wash away all the residue?

Well, what I do is wash the car, then keep it wet. I clay an area, then hose the car to keep it wet. Then do another section, and hose down, etc. Once all is clayed, I give a final rinse, and dry with the Water Magnets.

If you were dealing with a very dirty car, then maybe a full wash would be a good idea.

Keep in mind that doing it that way uses a lot more water, so if you have to conserve, then dont do it that way. Do it Mikes way to save water.

I use Murr1525's method also. I use a slightly stronger than usual solution of Deep Crystal car wash and water for lubricity and dry when I've finished claying the sections I'm going to be working on.

Yeah, and also if youre running low on product its not a wise idea to have to use more product for another wash. That was something else I thought of. Has anyone tried both? Which one do you guys believe is more effective?

Perhaps I should add that I do use the Quick Detailer, even though the car is wet. Not taking any chances.
