  • How to work the #80 using a 8006 pad

I used the #5 speed with the PC and the 8006 pad on my practice car to work the #80. However I'm not getting the results anticpated.

I don't think I'm working long enough or hard enough. How long should I work a 2'x2' section? And do I have to press down on the the PC or let it work under its own weight? How do I know when the #80 is fully broken down?

Best thing you can do for yourself is pick up the DVD on the PC and you'll get awesome results... here's a link to where you can pick it up.... I did and after using the PC for over a year, I learned a ton that helped me get much better results.

      • Edit: Weird. I have to edit out a link to my own DVD -Mike Phillips

(Do a Google search for ShowCarGarage and you can find the DVD if you're interested. )

I don't have the PC...yet , but I did buy the DVD for it. I have learned alot on removing swirls and to properly applying wax. I can almost smell the polishes and waxes being applied with that PC. You can't go wrong with the DVD...I promise!

Just to note, the DVD mentioned in this thread isn't a Meguiar's DVD, it's a Mike Phillips/Richard Linn/ShowCarGarage.com DVD.

That said, I'm still held to the same forum rules as everyone else and thus I've removed the link to the page where our how-to DVD can be purchased.
