  • First try with PC

I decided to spend my detail money on products instead of paying someone else and bought a PC 7424, a bunch of Meguiars products and Mike Phillip's DVD on using the PC. My car had the usual swirls, and some scratches trom who knows where (previous owner I think). It is a Single Stage Urethane paint from PPG called Concept. I clayed, polished (#80 and 83 where the scrathes were worst), then NXT x 2 and finished off with #7 glaze. The swirls are pretty much gone as are many of the scratches. The ones not gone completely are way less visible. Anyone who thinks a '53 Studebaker is a small car, has never polished one! I'm aching all over!

I'm a happy camper Here are some pics of the work:

Trunk and fender, this is where the worst scraches were.

Comments and suggestions welcome, I'm learning!
