        Thats a pretty wide open question.

        If you went and used some old fashioned compound and a wool pad on a rotary, then you might well need a rotaryand a wool pad all over again to get rid of it, but with something like #4, or #84, etc.

        If by compound you mean something like #2 or #84 applied properly wit ha foam pad, then a PC and #83 or a PC and #80 would be used with a 8006 foam pad, and in most cases that would be fine.

        Perhaps a little more info on what you are working on, or what process you are imagining using would be best.

          By compounding I mean levaling "serious" surface defects, I think around here most would use a w-7000 pad and #84 or #83
