  • Water Magnet vs. Micro fiber

This is probably a question already answered some other time but ill ask any way. I recently got a meguiars water magnet towel specifically for drying the car obviously and a pack of super soft MF towels (also meguiars). on the pack of the water magnet it says that it can absorb over 3X its weight in water. however on the pack of MFs it says it can absorb 6X their weight. my question is this: is there some secret to the water magnet that i have yet to discover or would i have been better off just buying microfibers and using them to dry the car? any input would be appreciated thanks

Hmm, I actualy have a package for the Water Magnets and Supreme Shines, and both of mine only say 3X.

But either way, the WM is better for drying and the SS is better for removing polishes and waxes, etc. Its all about how the micro-fibers are shaped and woven that they can do diffeent stuff better.

well mine definately say 6X but if thats true about removing polishes then wouldnt it make more sense to say that they remove wax and stuff instead of saying that they absorb alot of water.
