Sunscreen Damage

All,
After returning from the lake yesterday I sat on my leather seats without a shirt on. This morning I now have a white residue from the sunscreen I was wearing. Is they a good way to clean this off? I do have a bottle of Maguire's leather cleaner and conditioner, will this work?? Also, is it true that sunscreen damages leather? I have seen posts were people are actually applying this do their seats. I was using the new spray on sunscreen.
