  • Washing car with MF Quick Detail Pad?

I was wondering if anyone has tried washing with the mf quick detail pad?

I currently use Meg's chenille wash pad but it tends to shed or get snagged on things. Also, my thought is the mf pad would remain softer, longer.

My cars never really get nasty dirty. In fact, I've been using the chenille pad all summer long on an Accord and an Odyssey minivan. I was at least 1 car per week. The pad is still a bright white. I use it along with a foam gun and 2 rinse buckets which helps to keep the dirt free rinsing.

I know the mf detail pad doesn't have much nap so that would be my first concern, i.e. no where for the dirt to be lifted into.

Target has a really good microfiber wash sponge that I recently bought. It's not meguiars but so far it has held up well and I like it a lot.

I use them (the MF QD Pad) all the time. Some of them the sponge inside doesn't seem to be holding up; I'm not sure if that is the older ones or just if some hold up and some don't. I machine wash them after every use.

I've stockpiled a bunch of these since they were on sale at various places.
