Since ColorX is an AIO, would there be a bonding issue to top it immediately with a sealant?

Not if you're using another wax inside the Meguiar's line and probably not any issue if you're using a quality wax from another wax company.

People make to much out of the bonding issue as though they were applying fresh paint to a car body, it's not like if you apply a coat of wax and it doesn't bond, the layer you applied is going to slip off the car and pile up on the ground around the car.

i was thinking the same thing... people spend too much time trying to figure out all the bonding issues and even come up with some, when it's really not nearly as complicated

I just recently topped Color X with a sealant from another company.
No problems.
