I just winterized my 2000 Honda Civic EX. It's dark green and the paint is in pretty good condition. ANyway, here is what I did...
Washed/Dried twice with the 2 bucket method.
Clayed using GC car wash shampoo as lubricant.
Applied #7 Polish by hand and removed with a $29.99 Walmart orbital buffer
Applied #26 by hand and removed by hand. I find removing by hand is much faster than with the buffer.
Pics of my Honda can be seen here: http://www.putfile.com/gonzalcx
My front clip had been a tad hazy since I applied some Turtle Wax rubbing compound. I had a bunch of dried up bugs that I was having a heckuva time removing. After I applied the MirrorGlaze polish and removed with the Cheap-O buffer, I was amazed. The clip was sparkling and reflective.
Now, I have my Tahoe and Buick on schedule for some winterization.
