anyway Poyo, u know where could I get Boarch polisher? and wat is the best price in the market so far?

    Thanks for everything.
    Bro,

Don't think you need to use a polisher to apply all that stuff. Polisher is for lazy people. As for Meg's professional series merchandise, you can try out Authenticar at Midlands One Stop. They carry most of the professional series....even #83. Mike Phillips has a great article on how to remove Swirls by hand using scratch X. As for black cars....welcome to the club man.....what I noticed is the more you wash it, the more scratches you have....I do recommend however waxing your car more often...let's say once every week. It'll at least hide the scratches more.....don't polish your car too often.

      Hi LChan,

Thanks... for telling me that OneStop do have those products. I will check it out once i finish the consumer products that I have.

I usually will wax my ride one week and apply the NXT Speed Wax on the next and the process go on... I only do polish every quarter... :"P (do you think I should reduce it to once every 1/2 year ?)

And do u think it is ok to apply professional products with just hand? or it is still recommend to go for polisher? I am still new to MG professional products.... so would like to get more ideas and learn here...

NO mater what, thanks for the inputs and comments.
      Cheers,
      CH

I've told you, just buy what I listed out, do the steps I listed out, use the products the right way, and your car will shine better, with much lesser swirls than the car parked next to yours.

I've said this once : the products you need in order to use the Bosch GEX-270AE is not available in Kedah! Just buy the stuffs I listed and do the work by hand. About the swirls and watermarks, I suggest you do it by hand, with a bottle of Scratch X, a few MG foam pads, and at least 2 MG's Gold Class Ultimate Wipe ( if it's available in your area, I doubt it, since even in KL it's no longer available ) or the newer MG Supreme Shine MF.

How to use Scratch X the RIGHT way :

        - Make sure the area you want to work with Scratch X is clean ( washed and dried ).
        - To avoid any unwanted mishaps, clean the area further with Quik Detailer + MF.
        - Put about 50 cents ( Malaysian 50 cents size lah ! ) on the foam pad.
        - Work in the product in a 20cm X 20cm area ( square ).
        - Work in the product in all ways, straight left, straight right, up and down, circular etc UNTIL THE PRODUCT IS ALMOST GONE, BUT IS STILL SLIGHTLY WET. Do not work the product until it becomes clear, or dusty etc.
        - Now wipe off the product with the MF cloth until clear.
        - Check your work. If there is still watermarks / scratch / swirls on the area, do the same steps again. Keep doing it until you feel satisfied. Do not worry, Scratch X will not degrade your clearcoat until it becomes too thin / damaged etc.
        - Do only one part of the car, once a day ( because using Scratch X on a car is very tiring ).
        - After the job is done, seal the area with wax.
        - If you do it the way I instructed you to do, at least 60 - 70% of the watermarks, swirls and scratches will be gone, forever. It'll be forever, if you maintain the work with proper maintenance!

Once again, Meguiar's Professional range of products is NOT AVAILABLE in your area ( Kedah ). Just keep on the Meguiar's products that you can purchase direct. Products like M80, M83, M21 etc is not available in your area, and these products can only be used SAFELY with a proper dual orbiter machine and MG's buffing pads, which, I'd say again, IS NOT AVAILABLE IN YOUR AREA.

Just get the products I listed in an earlier reply, do it the right and safe way, use a proper, high quality microfibre products ( like from Meguiar's, AND NOT FROM THOSE MR CLEAN et cetera brands! ), wash your car often, remove bird droppings ( with Quik Detailer and MG's MF cloths ), bugs and road tar ( with MG's Bug and Tar Remover, also with some MG's MF cloths ) AS SOON AS YOU SPOT THEM ON YOUR CAR, clay, clean, polish and wax your car once every 4 weeks : your car will shine to it's best, with much lesser scratches, marks and swirls.
Thanks Poyo for all the recommendations. I will take this as the key learning and do it in the future.
        Cheers,
        CH

Re: How to Get Rid of Water Marks

I highly recommend you to do all the detailing work by hand, until up to the point the detailing work you do BY HAND is consistenly at a high par. I myself did all the work ( yes, up to the point of working in Scratch X on my WHOLE CAR! ) for about one year, 8 months. Only after that duration of time ended, I ventured to the world of machine polishing via a dual orbiter.

You will be surprised to see just how much can you achieve by only using Meguiar's consumer - range of products, by hand. Don't go all - crazy and buy those Professional level of MG's products blindly.

For the watermarks, the best way to avoid them is ( my own way lah ):
            - Wash the car ONLY when the whole car is cool to the touch.
            - Wash the car under a shade ( if washing during the day ).
            - Wash panel by panel.
            - My own practice is, after finish washing each panel / area, I immediately dry 'em up.
            - Or if you're lazy to do that, keep the washed area wet at all times. Then dry the car one whole shot.

Please, do the steps I gave you on a monthly basis! This is because Malaysia is a very2 hot, and humid country. Polishes and waxes are gone under a month or so!

Do you understand what a polish is actually? Read around, what a polish is all about, and you will understand why I recommend you to POLISH AND WAX your car on a monthly basis.

Finally, do put a stop on "Can I use Professional products by hand" etc. Get used to using the regualr, of the counter Meguiar's products ( consumer range ) 1st, up to the point your work is consistently at a high par / level. That usually takes about one or two whole bottle of DSC#1, DCS#2, Scratch X ( my own experience ).

I myself upgraded to machine work after finishing :
            - 2 and half bottles of DCS #1
            - 2 bottles of DCS #2
            - 1 and a half bottles of Scratch X
            - too many bottles of Quik Detailers etc
            - 2/3 can of NXT Paste Wax

So, please get yourself used to all the MG's consumer range of products AVAILABLE IN YOUR AREA, until to the point that your WORK IS CONSISTENTLY AT A HIGH PAR, before even THINKING OF GETTING A M80, or the BOSCH GEX 270 AE!!!!!

I'm not saying I'm a pro in detailing, but I have learned from a number of sifus ( who are senior staffs and ad - hoc senior staffs of Hypercoat Malaysia ) about polishing. Do it all by hand 1st, get used to do it by hand 1st, only after a year or so, only then you can even think about upgrading to machine work.
yep, so little posts, 'cause you guys have have made it easier for me, thanks!

Re: How to Get Rid of Water Marks

For Poyo: You're including compounding in the normal, monthly routine of detailing one's car, which is VERY WRONG ! Compounding is just like using sandpaper on your car, would you do that every month ? Compounding removes the clear coat for good ! One must only do compounding if that paint stain CAN'T BE TAKEN AWAY USING ANY OTHER, MORE GENTLE, options.

Also, some advices for when compounding, ALWAYS STAY ONLY ON the stained area, never rub too hard, or for longer than needed, once you see the stain starts to fade, slow down with the rubbing, and wipe right away all the excess with a microfibre cloth. If you don't slow down, so you can stop as soon as the stain has gone, there's big danger of removing the paint layer as well, which is very thin and brittle on cars older than 10 years, especially on surfaces exposed to the sun more.
