  • #21.. Proffesional/Consumer..

    Hi
I see the "#21" gets a lot of thumbs up. -But having only experience with consumer line products, i`m hesitating to try it out. How much harder is it to work with.? I don`t even know what the "#21" is.. Am I missing a lot of cool products by only selecting the ones with understrandable names off the consumer shelf?

Can it be used on top of f.ex NXT wax? Or is it a wax to stand by itself?
I feel that I need to learn some stuff before I order that large box of snacks from autogeek.net.....

Well, you might be missing some fun products. But the Consumer Line products are generaly designed for hand use, while a lot of the Pro-Line products are meant for machine use.

On the plus side, waxes and pure polishes can be used by hand, even from the Pro-Line.

So yes, #21 is nice and easy to work with, and #7 is a very good pure polish, if you are used to DC#2.

I would either use #21 or Nxt, not both.

Ok.! Cool. Where can I find info on what`s behind the numbers? What`s #8 for example..?

I might have to look into getting a better machine than the one I have,
everyone seems to get all these crazy results when they learn to use them.

The yare just part numbers, that get used for shorthand around here.

Go over to the Detailing 101 Forum, and there should be a sticky thread called MOL Acronyms, or something like that.

I might give the #21 a shot instead of the NXT then.

You may not want to order 21 until you use up the rest of the wax you have. If you're like me you'll never reach for the others again!

You can top #21 with NXT! Looks great! But really #21 gives a good enough look to be used by itself. If you top #21 with NXT, use the paste version. It hazes over more quickly and is less likely to streak than the NXT liquid.

Then I will order the #21. Looking forward to springtime now...

Will be ordering a rather big shipment of Meguiars from the US, and this is my list so far. -Are there any other of the consumer products here I should reconsider changing to better proffesional products?

You might want a couple more of the Water Magnets and Supreme Shines, unless you just want to get a couple to try out first.

To makesure you had enough cloths, a good number might be:
                    2-3 Water Magnets
                    3-5 Supreme Shines
Bunch of cheap terry cloth and microfibers for the dirty areas.
