  • Clear coat question

Can you ever remove all of the clear coat on a car? And if you do will the paint be single stage paint? Then if you remove all the clear coat paint is it bad. Any help would be nice.

If your question were "can you remove a clearcoat without severely damaging the basecoat?" then the answer would be no (for factory paint and most re-spray finishes anyway).

No. It will be half of a two-stage system.

Just as Murr asked, why would you want to remove the clear?
