Hello fellow members; I just bought a 2007 Mustang GT. Can anyone of you give me some good easy steps to keeping the car looking new. I park it under a car shed, and put a cover over it; problem with cats.
Thanks,
Randy
Looks like you got good help for the exterior. To keep the interior fresh, just make sure you don't ever let it get too dirty. Make sure you vacuum once a week, spray it down with Meguiar's Quick Interior Detailer to knock all the dust off and once a month apply a new interior dressing (I use a non-Meguiar's product, there are lots of choose from). The key to the interior (and the exterior, as well) is to keep up with your routine maintenance to prevent having to do heavy duty cleaning.
I have an '06 Mustang (see avatar) and it still looks brand new. I wash every week. I do (by hand at this point) a more in depth treatment every 3 months of wash, clay, polish with DC and wax GC x2. I dress the tires and clean the wheel wells and do window inside and out and dress the dash at least once a month... along with conditioning the leather seats and vacuuming too. She looks better than when I bought her.
My husband thinks I'm insane as much as I wash and wax and dress, but he always comments on how nice it looks and how he likes driving a clean car!!!!
